The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that your child's first orthodontic appointment is around age 7. If your child has significant crowding or development differences between the maxillary (upper) and the mandibular (lower) jaws then Dr. Bradley may recommend interceptive or Phase I treatment. Phase I treatment can simplify future treatment or enable a patient to achieve results that are not possible in a later developmental stage.
Braces are what most people associate with orthodontic treatment. Traditional metal braces are less noticeable, more comfortable and extremely more efficient than ever before. Orthodontic treatment can include traditional braces, ceramic braces, aligners and/or a variety of appliances. Dr. Bradley evaluates each patient’s needs and presents treatment options, reviewing the benefits and limitations of each treatment plan.
Our fabricated in- house clear aligners are removable trays designed to move your teeth more discreetly. They are made from a transparent medical-grade plastic which makes them virtually invisible. Dr. Bradley will treatment plan your case to determine how many aligners will be needed. Each aligner tray will be different from the previous one so they will need to be switched out every two weeks to continue progressing towards your beautiful smile.
Keep your smile for a lifetime! Teeth can shift in everyone throughout life regardless of how well the teeth are aligned or whether an individual’s teeth are naturally or orthodontically straight. Continued retainer wear will minimize changes and maintain functional alignment. Keeping up with your retention is important to prevent needing retreatment of braces or aligners.
